ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES OF RESIDENCE CARE

Living arrangements may be influenced by different factors, such as marital status, financial well-being, health status, and family size and structure. But cultural traditions such as kinship patterns, the value placed on living independently/with family members also matter. Sometimes the elderly decide to live in residential care.

 

The elderly people are identified as people who are to a greater or lesser extent at some risk of entering residential care. The elderly people themselves not always place themselves in this category and many of them think themselves very independent. But sometimes, the elderly are physically frail or disabled and they need 24-hour nursuing care.
